The MediLync module is comprised of the Patient List and Appointment Scheduler interfaces providing quick, mobile access to pertinent practice information. Patient Lists can contain up to 6,500 patients searchable by the first or multiple character(s) of the patient's name. Locating a patient utilizing the auto-sort searching is a quick and easy process. MediLync's data management capabilities also allow physicians to add new patients "on the fly". The appointment Scheduler interface is an unprecedented approach to mobile scheduling functionality. Physicians can review, add or edit appointments in a color coded environment. All appointment details and default settings from the PC based scheduling system are maintained on the handheld device. This eliminates the need to reconfigure the handheld for each physician. MediLync's Mobile Charge Capture System provides users with a customizable transaction entry module. Custom CPT & ICD-9 Code sets coupled with default settings from the PC based patient accounting application, provide an efficient and virtually error free charge capture system. All billing information is recorded at the point of care in an electronic format on the physician's handheld of choice. Transaction entries are simply entered on the electronic superbill during a patient encounter instead of re-entered by the administrative staff from paper superbills.
